New lighting on South Shore segment of Lake Links Trail

Thank you to White Bear Township for installing new lighting along the South Shore Boulevard segment of the Lake Links Trail (Bellaire to E. County Line). The new lighting is acorn type on decorative poles; the installation was proceeding well with hook-up of two to be completed yet today (Tuesday, Sept. 1). The lights are spaced about 80 yards apart and are controlled by a photo cell that activates them during hours of darkness. The new lights will enable folks to enjoy the trail during the dark winter evenings and mornings (... those darker and colder times will come along only too soon). Enjoy!
