New section in Dellwood donated

Updated: May 18, 2021

Dellwood residents and biking enthusiasts Bill and Patty Whitaker have committed to donate right of way to 560 feet of former rail bed on their property to the Lake Links Trail. Reaching southeast from the MN 244/Peninsula intersection, the Whitaker stretch is wonderful flat ground which will eventually be paved using funding provided by the Minnesota Legislature.

Please join us in extending our gratitude and thanks to Bill and Patty for this great donation — a big step forward in the completion of the trail through Dellwood and the ultimate goal of having a safe trail for everyone in the White Bear area community to use . Other donations have been privately committed and will be discussed as details are sorted through.

The White Bear Press also recently profiled the Bensons, who donated another section in Dellwood. See the interesting article here.
