The Lake Links Association will hold a public meeting November 8 to discuss ideas for the Lake Links bicycle and pedestrian trail along Highway 96 on the North Shore of White Bear Lake. The meeting will be at 7 pm at the Mahtomedi District Education Center, 500 Mahtomedi Ave. in Mahtomedi.
The 2020 Minnesota Legislature assigned $500,000 to the City of White Bear Lake and the same amount to White Bear Township to complete the trail along Highway 96. The November 8 meeting will give interested persons an opportunity to view and discuss Lake Links’ visualizations of a possible trail alignment and to discuss options.
The Lake Links Association does not have a say in the trail alignment – that's up to local and county governments. However, we are offering suggestions as a way to keep the conversation going. You can take a look at visualizations and a detailed explanation of our ideas here.
Masks will be required at the meeting due to school district policy. If you'd like to attend remotely instead of in person email lakelinksmn@gmail.com and we'll send you a Zoom link.
Hope to see you November 8!
