The Lake Links trail construction and utility work along South Shore Boulevard is moving along nicely.
From the Ramsey County website:
"Construction is underway and will last through the fall. The first phase of pavement removal (Bellaire Avenue to East County Line Road) is complete. Additional pavement removal will take place later in the summer.
"Work on the water main will continue through late July. Short-term, temporary water shut offs will be in place. Individual homeowners will be contacted if their property will be impacted.
"South Shore Boulevard is closed to traffic in both directions from White Bear Avenue to County Road F. A signed detour is in place using White Bear Avenue, County Road F and East County Line Road. Residential access will be maintained throughout the project."
For cyclists, the Lake Links Association recommends traveling via Hazel to Lilac to McKnight to County Road F.
