The first signs of spring, the spring flowers are blooming in the revitalized Streetcar Park. Thanks to the volunteer efforts in 2024 cleaning out invasives such as buckthorn and garlic mustard, these tiny flowers (ephemerals) can now pop up in early spring to take advantage of the lack of leaf canopy and enjoy a few short weeks of sunshine.

Please stop by Streetcar Park on the trail just north of Quail in Mahtomedi at the covered bridge and check it out. Thanks to generous donations, a grant from the Mahtomedi Garden Club and a grant from Rice Creek Watershed District we are at 74% of our fundraising goal for the 2025 revitalization project. If you enjoy the park, please consider making a donation at : https://www.lakelinks.net/streetcar-park-donations
