The Lake Links Association is leading a 10-mile recreational bike ride around White Bear Lake on Saturday, July 22, and you're invited! The 6th Annual Ride Around the Lake will start at the Saputo Station rest stop in Bellaire Beach Park, 2500 South Shore Boulevard, White Bear Lake.
This year, we'll a special treat for the early birds: FREE Lake Links T-shirts while supplies last! Riders will be separated into groups of 10–15 with Lake Links guides to ride clockwise around White Bear Lake. The first group will depart at 8:45 am and subsequent groups will depart every 10 minutes. Please plan to arrive at the park 30 minutes before your intended departure time so you can sign a waiver, put air in your tires, and learn about progress to date and yet to come with this Lake Links Trail.
Helmets are required, and children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Riders should be at least 12 years old and able to confidently ride in a group with vehicular traffic and occasional uneven conditions. Please bring your own drinking water. In the event of adverse weather (thunderstorms, prolonged rain, severe weather) we will cancel. Check the Lake Links website (lakelinks.net) for more information and last-minute updates.
New this year: John Sheehan, owner of ROAM Bike Shop at 2200 3rd Avenue in White Bear Lake, will be available to answer questions and help riders as needed.
We encourage you to bike to the event if possible. If you do need to drive, please park in the west parking lot at Bellaire Beach to ensure that other park visitors have ready access to the beach. Overflow parking will be available as needed in the South Shore Trinity Lutheran Church parking lot directly across South Shore Boulevard from the park.
