The Highway 96 Corridor Study, which began in Fall 2024, is coming to a close. Washington and Ramsey counties, along with the Minnesota Department of Transportation, are taking online comments now through May 15 on the study’s findings and final recommendations. Go here to share your opinions!
In addition to online participation, a final public open house will be held Monday, May 4, 4–6 p.m. at Crosswinds Community Church, 9125 Newgate Ave. N., Stillwater. We urge everyone interested in a safer and more accessible Highway 96 to attend, learn, listen, and ask questions of study planners and representatives from both counties and MnDOT.
With fast-moving traffic, narrow shoulders, multiple above-average to critical crash locations, and insufficient pedestrian crossings, Highway 96 has much room for improvement. Your participation and input can secure a safer future for walking and biking along this vital east-west route, and show support for getting the Ramsey County Highway 96 segment of the Lake Links Trail completed by turning study recommendations into implemented infrastructure solutions.
Your opinion matters, and your vocal presence at this open house could literally save lives.
PLEASE PROVIDE YOUR INPUT! Future generations will be grateful.
