South Shore Trail Segment Is Starting to Take Shape

It's exciting times on the South Shore of White Bear Lake as signs of the Lake Links Trail begin to emerge from the reconstruction rubble.

Lake Links Association board member Greg Bartz stepped out with his camera earlier this week to document progress along what will be a 1.5-mile stretch of trail separated from motorized traffic by a grassy median.

Greg reports that the trail and roadway elevations are taking shape, with lots of earth being moved around in the process. When all is said and done, the completed project will be a one-way traffic lane with a separated trail from McKnight Avenue to County Road F and a two- way traffic lane with a separated trail from White Bear Avenue to McKnight Avenue.
